Biblical hospitality isn't about having the perfect home, preparing an elaborate meal, or being a natural entertainer.
It's about making room.
Room at your table. Room in your home. Room in your schedule. And most importantly, room in your heart for the people God places in your life.
In a world that often treats hospitality as entertaining, Scripture invites us to see it differently. Biblical hospitality is rooted in love, generosity, fellowship, and a willingness to welcome others—even when life is messy, time is limited, or all we have to offer is something simple.
Table of Fellowship is a four-week Guided Bible Study that explores what God's Word teaches about opening our hearts, sharing what we have, and extending the same welcome we've received through Christ.
What You'll Study
Throughout four weeks, we'll explore biblical hospitality through Scripture:
-
Week 1 — Make Room: Discover how Christ's welcome shapes the way we love, receive, and make room for others.
-
Week 2 — Open Your Home: Learn from biblical examples of people who practiced hospitality with willing hearts and the resources they had.
-
Week 3 — Come to the Table: Explore the significance of sharing meals, breaking bread, and building meaningful fellowship.
-
Week 4 — Room for One More: Consider who might be missing from our tables and what it means to welcome people beyond our familiar circles.
More Than a Bible Study About Hospitality
This isn't a workbook filled with entertaining tips or instructions for hosting the perfect gathering.
It's an invitation to dig into Scripture and discover what biblical hospitality really looks like.
Each week includes four days of guided Scripture study and a fifth day dedicated to reflection and practical application.
Inside, you'll find:
-
Carefully selected Scripture passages to study in context
-
Guided observation and interpretation questions
-
Historical and cultural background to deepen your understanding
-
Original-language insights and Scripture cross-references
-
Space for annotations, notes, and personal discoveries
-
Weekly opportunities to put what you've learned into practice
Rather than simply telling you what the Bible says, this study is designed to help you discover it for yourself as you grow in your ability to study God's Word with confidence and clarity.
Who Is This Study For?
Whether you love gathering people around your table or feel intimidated by the very idea of hosting, Table of Fellowship will challenge and encourage you to see hospitality through a biblical lens.
You don't need a big home, a beautiful dining room, or a gift for entertaining.
You just need a willingness to make room.
Because biblical hospitality isn't about impressing people. It's about inviting them in.
“Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality.” — Romans 12:13 (CSB)
